The originator of the Dances of Universal Peace, Samuel Lewis was the first American born Sufi Master. Strongly influenced by his first teacher, Harzat Inayat Khan, a Zen Roshi and the study of Yoga , he studied and mastered many spiritual traditions before founding, just before his
passing in 1971, the Sufi Ruhaniat Order.
